Gustaff Besungu Did an opening show with http://www.chanarothman.com/ for http://galeetdardashti.com/bio.php @The Rotunda in Philadelphia http://www.therotunda.org/

It was a benefit Concert for the Jewish Dialogue Group

It is said, “Music speaks what cannot be expressed, soothes the mind and gives it rest, heals the heart and makes it whole, flows from heaven to the soul.” This statement summarizes our goal, desire and wish as we set out to travel along the east coast from North Carolina to Maine sharing the program we called “Music for the Soul”.

On our travel we met so many people and made lots of friends. There were those who welcomed us to their homes with open hearts, those who organized the concerts with tremendous zeal, there were abundant smiling faces, numerous gestures of encouragement and support, plenty of cheers and amicable delights, and the many who let us know how much our music has touched their lives and those of their family and friends.

All these as a result of your continuous support of our efforts in making Music a ladder for the soul, a tool in helping us meditate on the challenges facing mankind, a means to uplift us and a call that inspires us to act and make valuable contributions to the ever advancing civilization of humanity, and bringing us together as one.

Our heartfelt Thanks and gratitude is being extended to each and everyone who helped us in any way accomplish the goals of  “Music for the Soul 2010″. We pray that with your persistent support we will continue in our efforts to share with the world our music. As the philosopher Plato once said, Music gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything.

You help us achieve that lofty goal. Once more we say Thank You. Be blessed, be well, and keep the music playing.

We are now into the busy part of Music for the Soul 2010. In Charlottesville we had a full house, played two concerts and it was a wonderful feeling seeing our close friends from that area. Their ever growing support since the inception of our collaboration has been tremendous.

In Vienna last night, it was also a full house. We were showered with praises and encouraging words. It was a night of warm hearts, amazing spirits and joyfulness, especially from the good number of children who participated. They were in tune with the spirit of our concerts, which is to raise us up to higher heights.

Our words of appreciation is insufficient in expressing our deep feelings of gratitude to the friends who help us organize these concerts.

We look forward to the busy week ahead that will take us to Downingtown-PA, through Dover-DE, Philadelphia, Boston, Portland-ME and Green Acre Baha’i School. Be well, be happy and share the smiles of joyfulness with the world.

When you do something on a regular basis, it becomes a tradition and especially heartwarming if the tradition is endued with Love, fun and inspiration. This is the case with Music for the Soul and the city of bridges( Pittsburgh-PA).

On our third consecutive concert in Pittsburgh, it is always a given that the reception is heartwarming, the support and encouragement beyond a mere tap on the shoulders, and the fun is not only exhilarating, it captures a sense of freedom and total immersion in playfulness.

Myriad of appreciative words to all the lovely and wonderful friends who make this happen every time we play in that city is insufficient to describe our gratitude.

We took a beautiful drive along route 9 into the Shenandoah valley, made our way to the small town of Ranson-West Virginia were we welcomed by smiling friends with open hearts. A potluck had been prepared for us. After sound check we ate to our fill, rested, socialized and then went into why we made the drive from Northern Virginia; share our music with the friends.

The one hour program was well received and the friends showered us with praises, encouragement and many more invites. We made the drive back to Northern Virginia, the Blue Ridge Mountains as a gorgeous backdrop, is an apt reminder of how majestic and ever present music is in our lives, it can take us to higher heights, so long as we pay attention to it and are ready to make the leap.

We look forward to making the drive to Pittsburgh-PA on our third consecutive Music for the Soul performance come July 3rd-5th. See you there with your smiles and ever loving hearts.

Dear friends!

What nurtures your soul? What makes your heart tender? Prayer, music, fellowship, tea poured in peace, cake shared with a smile? Whatever the answer might be, sharing songs and prayers with friends gets us all closer to the Creator and recharges us for the week ahead.
